Stefani Joanne Angelina Germanotta or better known by her stage name Lady Gaga. She is an American singer, songwriter, musical producer, dancer, pianist and actress.

Lady Gaga was born on March 28, 1986 at Manhattan's Lenox Hill Hospital. She is the elder daughter of Cynthia Louise and Joseph Anthony Germanotta, and has a sister named Natalie, she is a fashion student.

Gaga began playing the piano at the age of four, wrote her first piano ballad at thirteen, and started to perform at open mic nights by the age of fourteen.

Gaga rose to prominence with her debut album The Fame, which includes the singles Just Dance and Poker Face. A follow up EP The Fame Monster, was met with a similar reception and released the successful singles Bad Romance, Telephone and Alejandro.

Her second album Born This Way was released in 2011.The album produced numer one single Born This Way. Her third album ARTPOP, released in 2013, topped the US charts and include the succesful singles Applause and Do What U Want. In 2014 Gaga rekeased a collaborative Jazz album with Tony Bennett titled Cheek to Cheek, which became her third consecutive number one in the united states.

By December 2014, gaga confirmed tht she had begun working on her next album, with Billboard reporting that the singer was working with producer RedOne. Producer Giorgio Moroder also confirmed that he is working on the album. Moreover, Gaga collaborated with Diana Warren on a song for the documentary The Hunting Ground called Till it happens to you.

In February 2015, Gaga became engaged to Taylor Kinney.

At the 87th Academy Awards on February 22,  she performed a tribute to The Sound of Music, singing a medley of songs from the film. The performance was the most talked-about moment on the Internet, triggering over 214 thousand interactions per minute globally on Facebook.

Gaga performed a piano version of John Lennon's Imagine at the opening ceremony of the 2015 European Games in Baku, Azerbaijan. 

On June 18, 2015, Gaga received at the 46th Annual Songwriters Hall of Fame Awards the first ever Contemporary Icon Award. 

In February 2015, Lady Gaga confirmed via her Twitter account that she would be joining the cast of FX's hit horror-drama American Horror Story for its fifth season, subtitled Hotel. Gaga will star as Elizabeth, the owner of the hotel, who has a nefarious plan, which will be the course of the season. Her character is evil, related to fashion and involved in a love triangle with Finn Wittrock's and Matt Bomer's characters. She will also have an intimate relationship with Angela Bassett's
